Application for Accreditation of HR Providers (Primary Focus)

NB: The SABPP LQA is not levy funded as are other LQAs and therefore has permission from SAQA to charge for all services rendered in the capacity of an accredited LQA. For the current approved fees, please click here.

Letter of Intent

The Letter of Intent provides information required by the SABPP in order to make a decision as to the appropriate next step.

The SABPP LQA will respond in writing to the Letter of Intent.

Application for the Learning Programme Approval (LPA) for Providers accredited with other LQA’s

Criteria for Application

Written permission from the Provider’s primary focus LQA for SABPP to proceed with learning programme approval. In such a Referral Request, the referring LQA must include the ID numbers and titles of the unit standards and/or qualifications for which learning programme approval is requested.

The Learning Programme Approval Application (LPA)

  • Prepare a neat file (one only if possible) with a table of content and supporting document on a Flash Dive.
  • Organise your material into clearly marked sections with dividers and keep to the numbering and order below.
  • Avoid adding non-relevant documents and do not duplicate materialAny additional information you may want to include should be added on at the end and included in the table of contents.
  • Please be completely honest and transparent.

Please Note

The process is finalised only after the SABPP Board has approved your application and a site visit has been done. Thereafter a certificate and letter of recognition will be generated for provisional LPA.

It is your responsibility to make a complete copy of the application file for your records. The application file submitted to the SABPP LQA will not be returned to you.

The Application

Accreditation is finalised only after the SABPP Board has approved your application and issued an accreditation certificate.It is your responsibility to make a complete copy of the application file for your records.

The application file submitted to the SABPP LQA will not be returned to you.

Internal LQA Process
  • First evaluation of the content of the application. The Provider is contacted if additional information is required.
  • Second evaluation to ensure that all outstanding information has been submitted. The Provider is contacted if additional information is required.
  • The first and second evaluation reports are circulated to the SABPP LQA Committee in advance, then tabled at one of the four LQA Committee Meetings (annually) for recommendation to the SABPP Board.
  • The SABPP Board upholds the LQA Committee recommendation or not.
  • The SABPP provides feedback on the final outcome to the Provider.
  • A Provisional Accreditation certificate is issued to successful Provider

Provisional Accreditation are as follows

FET Certificate – 18 Months

HR Diploma – 30 Months

Skill Programmes – 12 Months
