SA Board for People Practices (SABPP) and Coaching and Mentors of South Africa (COMENSA) earlier today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the intention of creating and providing a platform for a sustainable collaborative alliance in the interest of advancing human resource (HR); coaching and mentoring professionalism; knowledge-sharing and capacity-building within South Africa. Through this, the parties wish to collaborate and enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by end of February 2020 latest.
Two years of intense discussions came to fruition when the two prominent professional bodies signed the abovementioned MOU. ‘’This is not just for the two organisations, but for our members who should benefit professionally from this relationship’’; said Xolani Mawande, CEO of SABPP. Mokadi Max Mathye, the National President of COMENSA concurs with this view and added that this will mutually benefit both organisations.
Going forward, the two organisations have committed to clarifying specific common professional issues to pave the way forward to signing an MOA that will regulate the activities of both organisations and thus add value to both the human resource and coaching & mentoring professions.
