How do I become a member?

How much is it to become a member?

Membership fees varies depending on the professional level. We have five professional levels. VIEW PRICING

What are the requirements to register? 

There are three requirements that need to be met before a professional level is approved.

  • Completed HR/ HR Related Qualifications
  • Level of Work
  • Relevant Working Experience

What are the required documents? 

You must have the below:

  • Recently certified copy of HR/ HR Related qualification ( 2 highest qualifications) SAQA letter to accompany all international qualifications 
  • Recently certified copy of ID/ Passport
  • Detailed CV 
  • Organisational chart /Organogram ( from HR Professional and above) 
I have not paid my membership fees for the past two years

I applied for HR Associate, Professional, Chartered or Master Professional membership and come from an SABPP accredited institution do I have to write the board exam level 1?

Master HR Professional
Completed HR or HR related Doctorate / Masters + 6 yrs | HR top management level experience + organogram + Board Exams Level 1 & compulsory Board Exam 2

Chartered HR Professional
Completed 4 year HR or HR related Honours / Post Grad + 4 yr HR Senior management level experience + organogram + Board Exams Level 1 & 2

HR Professional
Completed 3 year HR or HR related Degree / Diploma + 3 yr HR middle management experience + organogram + Board Exams Level 1

HR Associate
Completed 2 year HR or HR related Diploma + 2 yr HR experience + Board Exams Level 1

HR Technician
Completed 1 year HR or HR related Certificate + 1 yr HR experience

How do I login?

If I register today, and later improve my qualifications, experience and level of work can I upgrade my membership? 

Yes, please log into your profile and click on the upgrade tab to apply. A non-refundable fee of R1 150 should be made in order for your application to be processed. An independent committee of Senior HR Practitioners process the application and will approve your application at the appropriate level.  

I have acquired experience for more than 10 years but do not have a formal qualification can I still be a member?
